1. Google User Data Accessed by Our Application

WhatsApp Link Generator accesses the following types of Google user data through Google Workspace APIs:

• Google Sheets Data (Spreadsheet Contents): We read the contents of your active Google Sheets spreadsheet, specifically the cells in columns you select that contain phone numbers and any other data you wish to use in message templates (such as names, order numbers, or other custom fields).
• Spreadsheet Structure Information: We access column headers and row structure to identify which columns contain phone numbers and to enable placeholder replacement in message templates.
• User Configuration Preferences: We store your add-on preferences (such as default country code and country code toggle settings) using Google's Properties Service, which is scoped to your user account.

2. How Our Application Uses Google User Data

WhatsApp Link Generator uses the accessed Google user data solely for the following purposes:

• Phone Number Processing: We read phone numbers from your selected spreadsheet column to clean and format them into the international format required by WhatsApp's click-to-chat API (wa.me).
• Link Generation: We generate WhatsApp click-to-chat links by combining cleaned phone numbers with your optional message template. The message template may include placeholders that reference other column headers in your spreadsheet (e.g., {Name}, {Order}).
• Writing Results: We write the generated WhatsApp links back to your spreadsheet in a new or existing column labeled "WhatsApp Link".
• Preference Storage: We save your configuration settings (default country code, country code usage preference) to Google's Properties Service so you don't need to re-enter them each time you use the add-on.

Important: All data processing occurs within Google's secure Apps Script execution environment. We do not transmit your spreadsheet data to any external servers or third-party services. The generated links direct users to WhatsApp's official wa.me service.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosure

WhatsApp Link Generator has a strict no-sharing policy for your Google user data:

• No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your Google user data (including phone numbers, spreadsheet contents, or message templates) with any third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
• No External Transmission: Your spreadsheet data never leaves Google's infrastructure. All processing happens within Google Apps Script's secure execution environment.
• WhatsApp API Interaction: The only external interaction is when end-users click the generated WhatsApp links, which directs them to WhatsApp's official click-to-chat service (wa.me). This interaction is initiated by the user, not by our application, and does not involve us transmitting your data to WhatsApp.
• Google Infrastructure: Your data is processed using Google Apps Script, which operates within Google's secure cloud infrastructure and is subject to Google's own privacy and security policies.

4. Data Storage and Protection

We implement comprehensive security measures to protect your Google user data:

• No External Storage: We do not store your spreadsheet data, phone numbers, or message templates on any servers outside of Google's infrastructure. All data processing occurs in real-time within Google Apps Script's execution environment.
• Encryption in Transit: All communication between your browser and Google's servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS 1.2 or higher protocols.
• Google's Security Infrastructure: Your data benefits from Google's enterprise-grade security measures, including encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security audits of Google's infrastructure.
• Scoped Access: Our application requests only the minimum OAuth scopes required for functionality:
  • spreadsheets.currentonly - Access only to the current spreadsheet you're working on
  • script.container.ui - Permission to display the add-on's sidebar interface
• Configuration Storage: User preferences (country code settings) are stored using Google PropertiesService, which is encrypted and scoped to your individual Google account.
• No Persistent Data Caching: We do not cache or temporarily store your spreadsheet data in any external systems, logs, or databases.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

WhatsApp Link Generator follows strict data retention and deletion practices:

• No Data Retention: Since we do not store your spreadsheet data, phone numbers, or message templates on our servers, there is no data retention period for this information. Your data exists only within your Google Sheets document and is processed in real-time when you use the add-on.
• Temporary Processing: Spreadsheet data is loaded into memory only during the active execution of the link generation function and is immediately discarded after the results are written back to your spreadsheet.
• Configuration Data: Your add-on preferences (country code settings) are stored in Google's PropertiesService and persist until you:
  • Manually change them through the add-on's settings interface
  • Uninstall the WhatsApp Link Generator add-on from your Google account
  • Clear your Google account's script properties
• User-Initiated Deletion: To delete your configuration data:
  • Method 1: Uninstall the WhatsApp Link Generator add-on from Google Workspace Marketplace or your Google account settings
  • Method 2: Contact us at support@mailmina.com with your Google account email address, and we will provide instructions for clearing your stored preferences
  • Method 3: Use Google Apps Script's PropertiesService API directly if you have technical expertise
• Spreadsheet Data Control: All spreadsheet data (including generated WhatsApp links) remains under your complete control within your Google Sheets document. You can delete, modify, or remove this data at any time using standard Google Sheets functionality.
• Data Deletion Requests: If you have concerns about data deletion or need assistance, please contact us at support@mailmina.com. We will respond to legitimate deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Google API Limited Use Compliance

WhatsApp Link Generator's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• We use Google API data solely for the purpose of generating WhatsApp links within your spreadsheet
• We do not use Google API data for advertising, marketing, or promotional purposes
• We do not sell or transfer Google API data to third parties
• We do not use Google API data to determine eligibility for credit, employment, or insurance
• We maintain appropriate security measures to protect Google API data

7. Children's Privacy

WhatsApp Link Generator is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at support@mailmina.com.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors.
